Cadence Android Privacy Policy
Effective date: September 25, 2026
Operator: Mustafa Onur ILGAZ (individual developer)
Privacy contact: mustafaonurilgaz@gmail.com
This policy covers Cadence: Contraction Timer for Android and these support pages. Build 1.0.0 (2) introduces the Google Play purchase integration described below; build 1.0.0 (1) does not include it. The iPhone policy describes the separate iOS app.
Your records stay on your device
No Cadence account is required. Contraction start and end times, durations, intensity ratings, notes, breaks, kick counts, session history and preferences are stored locally in the app's private storage. Cadence does not upload these records to us or to an analytics service. The app's widgets and optional timer notification use the same local records.
If you add a care-team contact, the optional name and phone number are also stored locally. Cadence does not read your address book. Tapping the call shortcut passes the number to your device's phone dialer; you decide whether to place the call. Cadence does not automatically call or send the contact to us.
Analytics, advertising and purchases
The Android app does not include an advertising, general usage-analytics or crash-reporting SDK. It does not collect an advertising ID or show ads. The usage and crash reporting switch currently saves a preference on your device only; enabling it does not transmit usage or crash events in this build.
Optional Pro is a one-time Google Play purchase for PDF and CSV export, not a subscription. Google handles payment details under its own policies; Cadence does not receive card details. We use RevenueCat as our service provider to validate purchases, restore access, and reflect refunds. The app sends RevenueCat a pseudonymous purchase-customer identifier, transaction and purchase-token information, purchase/entitlement status and technical store/app information. This supports app functionality and purchase analytics. Connections are encrypted in transit. Purchase processing is separate from the optional usage-reporting preference and cannot be disabled while using purchase/restore functionality.
Neither health records, intensity ratings, notes nor your saved contact are sent to RevenueCat. We do not supply names, email addresses or advertising identifiers to its SDK and do not configure advertising attribution integrations. See RevenueCat's privacy information and Google's privacy policy.
Notifications and sharing
You can choose whether to allow the optional timer notification. Notification content can be visible to people who can see your device; your Android notification settings control its visibility. The timer works without notification permission.
After Pro is unlocked, the report exporter creates PDF and CSV files locally and opens Android's share sheet only at your request. The destination you choose receives the file and handles it under its own policies. Exported files can contain health information; review the file and recipient before sharing.
Retention and deletion
Ending a tracking session preserves it in History. You can delete completed records and sessions in the app and edit or remove the saved contact. Uninstalling or clearing the app's storage removes its local data. Android automatic app backup is disabled for this build. Copies you separately exported or shared are outside the app's control, and these statements do not promise immediate secure erasure from every device storage layer or external copy.
Purchase information is retained by our purchase service provider to maintain and restore your Pro access and handle refunds. To request deletion of purchase-service information we control, contact the privacy email above, mentioning Cadence Android and, if you have purchased Pro, your Google Play order reference. Do not send payment-card details or your account password. We may need information to locate and verify the relevant purchase record. Deletion can affect restoration; Google may separately retain transaction records under its own obligations and policies.
Google Play, support and this website
Google Play and Android may process distribution, device diagnostic and testing information under Google's policies and your device settings. Information you choose to submit as testing feedback may be made available to us. The Cadence reporting switch does not control Google's own services. See Google's privacy policy.
If you email support, we receive the email address, message and attachments you send and use them to reply and investigate the issue. We keep support messages while needed for that purpose; you can request deletion. Please do not send personal health records or screenshots containing them when reporting a technical problem.
These pages are hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare processes technical request information, such as IP addresses, to deliver and protect the website. These static pages use no cookies, analytics scripts or embedded third-party content. App links open in your external browser, which may apply its own data practices.
Your choices and contact
Contact mustafaonurilgaz@gmail.com about access, correction or deletion of information we hold, such as support emails. We cannot retrieve health records stored only on your device. Depending on your location, you may have additional data-protection rights, including the right to complain to a data-protection authority. We will update this policy and its effective date when the Android app's data practices change.
A timing tool
Cadence is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, prevent or predict a medical condition. Timing-pattern matches are not medical advice. Contact a qualified healthcare professional about pregnancy, labor or changes in movement; do not wait for the app to tell you to seek help.
